Malignant narcissism is a constellation of personality traits that psychologists say sit on a range between NPD and psychopathy, while not on either extreme.
There isn't agreement over the definition among psychologists. And with most proposed disorders, those labeled with it may not have all characteristics, and self-labeling may make one over-identify with the diagnosis.
Psychologists also say that malignant narcissism is comorbid feature of when someone has anti-social-personality-disorder and narcissistic-personality-disorder at the same time.
