Charles Bukowski was a poet and writer known for his brutally honest writings about his life, low-status men, disappointment with women, masturbation, severe acne, unemployment, suicide, alcoholism, physical deformity, and prostitutes.

Bukowski's v-card[edit]

He was incel until 24 years old (which was pretty late for 1940s America), losing his virginity to a '300 pound' woman he felt disgust toward. He stated he did the act out of desperation and also that the woman broke his bed.[1]

Late Sexual Success[edit]

His eventual wife described that his 'sexual awakening' (having sex with multiple women) only occurred after he gained notoriety. She said Bukowski, late in life, was 'discovering this whole new world of women in a way that he hadn't before'.[2]

Despite finding finding success, Bukowski retained many frustrations and remained an alcoholic. He died in 1994.
